The staff has reviewed your submittals dated February 8 and August 5, 1988, which describe your proposal to remove th~ requirement of venting the containment liner weld leak-chase channels during a Type A containment leak rate test. Based on the staff 1s review of the above cited submittals, as delineated in the staff 1 s enclosed Safety Evaluation, we find your proposal acceptable.
