SURRY POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - REGULATORY GUIDE 1.97 (TAC NOS. M87223 AND M87224)
By submittal dated August 5, 1993, you stated that as a result of an extensive review of the variables associated with Regulatory Guide (R.G.) 1.97 "Instrumentation for Light-Water-Cooled Nuclear Power Plants to Assess Plant and Environs Conditions During and Following an Accident" you determined that additional exceptions to the Design and Qualification of R.G. 1.97 are required.
We have reviewed your proposed exceptions to R.G. 1.97 and find them acceptable. A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
This completes our effort with regard to our evaluation of the cited submittal and we are, therefore, closing out TAC Nos. M87223 and M87224.
