SURRY POWER STATION RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLAN REVIEW DOCKET NOS. 50-280 AND 50-281 We have completed our review of the Aprii 22, 1987, revision to the Surry Power Station _Radiological Emergency Plan.
Our review indicated that the changes* made to your Emergency Plan were
. consistent with the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements
- of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50.
Please be reminded that_ 10 CFR 50.54(q) requires NRC approval of any changes to your Plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the Plan.
However, if you~
safety review indicated no decrease* in the level of emergency preparedness;"
then changes can be made without NRC.approval.

- furnish copies of each proposed change to the NRC in accordance with' *

Also, any changes to the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in acGordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section V. _
