CONFIRMATION OF ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE - SURRY - DOCKET NOS. 50-280 AND 50-281 This confirms the conversation between N.
E. Clark of your staff, and F. S. Cantrell of my staff, on May 14, 1987, concerning an enforcement conference to be conducted at the NRC Region II Office on May 19, 1987, at 1:00 p.m.
We requested this meeting to discuss the improper routing of 10 CFR 50 Appendix R related cables reported in Special Report 87-010-00.
Enclosed is a proposed meeting agenda identifying specific issues of concern.

ENCLOSURE PROPOSED MEETING AGENDA Virginia Electric and Power Company Meeting with NRC May 19, 1987 I. Opening Remarks II. Issues of Concern The improper routing of 10 CFR 50 Appendix R related cables as reported in Special Report 87-010-00 on April 10, 1987, specifically:
A.
How VEPCOs design control process will ensure 10 CFR 50 Appendix R requirements are met when performing design changes.
B.
Would a loss of offsite power have occurred with the loss of the Emergency Diesel Generators had a fire occurred in the Unit 2 Cable Vault and Tunnel.
C.
What specifically would be lost in the event of a fire in the Unit 2 Cable Vault and Tunnel.
