VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 UPDATED INS~RVICE INSPECTION TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST By the letter dated February 14, 1979, we proposed changes to the Technical Specifications for Surry Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 to meet the new Inservice Inspection and Testing requirements for nuclear power plant components.

By our letter Serial No. 544, dated September 21, 1982, we revised the proposed changes to the Technical Specifications for Inservice Inspection and Testing in accordance with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and applicable Addenda as required by 10 CFR 50, Section 50.55a.

Pursuant to our letter Serial No.85-426, dated July 3, 1985, VEPCO is submitting an updated version of our Inservice Inspection Technical Specification change proposal. These proposed changes have been revised to incorporate the additional information requested by your letter of May 28, 1985.

This request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the Safety Evaluation and Control Staff. It has been determined that this request does not involve an unreviewed safety question.
