TERMINATION OF FURTHER REVI$1 EFFORT ON INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM (!ST) AND REL! EF REQUESTS FOR SURRY POWER STATION i.

UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 This is to notify you that we have terminated further review work on the subject IST program and relief requests, which you submitted by letters dated December 15, 1980.

The reasons for the termination is due* to the fact that the first 10-year interval during which the subject IST program and relief requests are applicable*,.as prescribed by 10 CFR 50.55a(g),

have already passed. The*new 120-month interval started on December 22, 1982 and 1\\pd l 28, l 983 for Surry Power Station i, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, the la-year anniversary date from the day of your commeri cal operatipil.

As require.d by 10 CFR 50.55a(g')_, you submitted a revised IST program and relief requests for the current 120-month interval on September 21, 1982 and December 27, 1982 for Units 1 and 2, respectively.

Review of your new program* and relief requests wil 1 be performed according to the provisions of 10 CFR 50.55a(g).
