FEB O l 1983 As a result of comments made in Region II's inspection report of November 24, 1982 and conversations with Mr. P. G. Godwin of your staff, a question appears to exist regarding the requirements for the implementation of Revision 6 to the Surry Power Station Security Plan submitted by Mr. Leasburg's (undated) letter, Serial No. 453.
To clarify this issue, it is our understanding that Revision 6 submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR.so:,5.4(p) would not be implemented by VEPCO until (1}
VEPCO has received formal notifiGation of our acceptance of Revision 6 and (2) an implementation schedule for the changes has been developed by VEPCO and agreed to by the NRC.
At the present time 9 Revision 6 to the "Surry Power Station Security Program" isbbeing reviewed by the n.ew reviewer, Mr. Dale A. Kers.
This does not constitute an approval of the North Anna Revision 6.
