OF MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 14, i 979 ;. TO DISCUSS PIPE STRESS ANALYSIS The subject meeting was held with VEPCO and EBASco*to discuss the analysis o*f Surry Unit* 2.

VEPCO explained that *the Surry Unit 2 Analysis will be performed essentially the same*as that for Unit l except for the* following differences:

1.

EBASCO will be performing most of the analyses with Stone & Webster doing.the remafoder.

2.

The NUPIPE computer code will be used but it will be a different version than used by S 8t 11 and NSC *. A code verfication program.

3.

5.

VEPCO explained that the Surry Unit 2 Analysis will be performed essentially the same as that for Unit 1 except for the following differences:

1.

EBASCO will be performing most of the analyses with Stone & Webster doing the remainder.

2.

The NUPIPE computer code will be used but it will be a different version than used by S & Wand NSC.

A code verification program will be required.

3.

VEPCO will be using a 1.25 "bump" factor for the OBE, both on Units l and 2.

This will require our review.

4.

There will be no systems involved concerning high-energy pipe breaks.

5.

All analyses and modifications will be completed prior to start-up of Unit 2 about November or December 1979. provides a preliminary listing of the problems to be reanalyzed.
