ACCEPTANCE OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY, LLC APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO INDIRECT CHANGE OF CONTROL

Dear Mr. Sweeney:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received your submittal dated March 21, 2018, transmitting an Application for Consent to Indirect Change of Control with Respect to Materials Licenses1 and Export Licenses2 and supplemental information dated April 10, 2018, April 26, 2018, and April 27, 2018. The application was submitted pursuant to Section 184 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the NRCs implementing regulations in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Sections 70.36, 110.50 and 110.51.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Please note that the complete review of this submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by your requested date of July 20, 2018. In addition, based on recent experience, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of the proposed application will require approximately 250 staff hours. The date and estimated level of effort are subject to change depending on the findings of our technical review, timeliness of licensee responsiveness to any request for additional information, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule and estimated level of effort.

In accordance with 10 CFR Paragraph 2.390 of the NRC Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
