- The Plant Systems'Branch has reviewed the licensee's analysis, data and test program Sijbmitted to NRG to establish adequacy of their proposed modification to the 480V Class IE power syseems.
We conclude that the proposed modification ensures,the capability of the 480V Class IE systems to meet its safety functions and therefore is acceptable.
Our Safety Evaluation* Report is enclosed.
It is also to be noted that a similar modification plan for the 480V Cl ass IE system of Surry Unit 2, which is presently shutdown for
- refueling, shall be submitted in the near future.
The licensee has
- agreed to keep Unit 2 down until its proposed modification and :test program is approved by NRG.
