Dear Administrative Judges:
In accordance with the Licensing Boards Initial Scheduling Order issued December 7, 2017, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17341A544), the staff of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Staff) informed the Licensing Board and the parties in hearing file updates for March and April 2018 that the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the Clinch River Nuclear Site would be publicly available in the second half of April, 2018 (ADAMS Accession Nos. ML18072A403, ML18100A999). On April 17, 2018, the Staff notified the Licensing Board that the Staff would inform the Board and parties of the ADAMS Accession Numbers for the DEIS after it was made publicly available that week.
The Staff hereby informs the Licensing Board and parties that the DEIS for the Clinch River Nuclear Site was made publicly available in ADAMS at Accession Numbers ML18100A220 and ML18100A223 on Friday, April 20, 2018. The Staff also sent the DEIS to the Environmental Protection Agency on April 20, 2018, for publication in the Federal Register. The Staff expects notice to be published by the end of this week in the Federal Register regarding the availability of the DEIS and will inform the Licensing Board and parties of the Federal Register citation when the notice is published.
