NRC, Application for Amendment No. 8 to the Model No. MAGNASTOR Storage Cask - Request for Additional Information (RAJ), EPID No. L-2017-LRM-0009, February 1, 2018 NAC International (NAC) hereby withdraws the Reference 4, amendment application which proposed changes to the FSAR adding a new shorter concrete cask (i.e., CC6), a shorter version of the existing PWR damaged fuel basket and transportable storage canister (i.e., PWR DF2), a shorter version of the existing stainless steel transfer cask (i.e., MTC3), a PWR DF2 configuration specific to CE 14x14 fuel only, associated drawing changes and several other miscellaneous changes to the FSAR and Technical Specifications. Additionally, because the Amendment request is being withdrawn NAC will not be responding to the RAis the NRC issued on February 1, 2018 (Reference 5) on the above-mentioned topics.
