COMBINED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-272/94-27, 50-311/94-27,
AND 50-354/94-25
Dear Mr. Eliason:
This refers to the announced safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. Calvert and
Mr. D. Moy of this office from September 26 through October 7, 1994, at the
Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations at Hancocks Bridge,
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed
with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
This inspection was directed toward assessment of areas important to public
health and safety. Areas examined during this inspection were the activities
related to the engineering and technical support provided for the operation of
the Salem and Hope Creek stations. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selected examinations of procedures and ~epresentative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Our review of plant modifications and small design changes revealed no
significant concerns.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure(s) will be placed in the NRC Public Document
Room.
No response to this letter is required.
