SALEM AND HOPE CREEK EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS (EP)
PROGRAM INSPECTION NOS. 50-272/94-15; 50-311/94-15; and50-354/94-14
This letter forwards the report of the subject announced inspection conducted by Messrs.
D. Silk and J. Lusher of this office on July 11 through July 14, 1994, at the Salem and Hope
Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey. Preliminary inspection
findings were discussed with Mr. S. LaBruna and others of your staff on July 14, 1994, by
Mr. Silk.
Areas examined during this inspection are important to public health and safety and are
described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report that is enclosed with this letter. Within those
areas, the inspection consisted of observations by the inspectors, interviews of personnel, and
examinations of selected procedures and records.
Overall, the inspectors found that the EP program was being well implemented. No safety
- concerns or violations of regulatory requirements were identified during this inspection and no
response to this letter is required. Thank you for your cooperation.
