SALEM INSPECTIONS 94-09 AND HOPE CREEK INSPECTION 94-07
This refers to the inspection of procurement activities conducted by Mr. A. Finkel of this
. office from June 6-10, 1994, at Salem Units 1 and 2 and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating
Stations, Lower Alloways Creek Township, New Jersey. Discussions of our preliminary
findings were held with Mr. M. Shedlock of your staff on June 10, 1994, at the conclusion
of this inspection.
The inspection was focused on issues important to public health and safety, *fuid consisted of
independent examinations of procedures, reports and records, personnel interviews, and field
observations by the inspector of warehouse areas. Those areas were observed to be clean
and well maintained. Training of the warehouse staff was effective as evidenced by the high
quality of storage and stock control.
