EMERGENCY DIESEL GENERATORS SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 On December 21, 1993, a meeting was conducted between Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) and NRC personnel at Region I Headquarters in King Of Prussia, PA.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Emergency Diesel Generator Cylinder Liner failure that had occurred at Salem Unit No. 2.

As part of that meeting, PSE&G discussed a Finite Element stress Analysis that was being performed by MPR Associates, Inc.

During a follow-up telecon between PSE&G and the NRC on December 22, 1993, PSE&G committed to submit the Finite Element Stress Analysis for NRC review.

Attached as Enclosure 1 is the previously discussed analysis.
