SMALL BREAK LOSS OF COOLANT ACCIDENT NOTRUMP ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY, SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. M86144 AND M86145)
By letter dated April 2, 1993, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) submitted the Small Break Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) Analysis Report (WCAP-13657).
WCAP-13657 incorporates the NOTRUMP analysis methodology for use at Salem, Units 1 and 2.
The evaluations described in the report were performed in support of the Salem Fuel Upgrade and Margin Recovery Project.
The NRC staff has reviewed the submittal and concludes that the NOTRUMP code can be used to demonstrate compliance with the requirements in 10 CFR 50.46 for Salem, Units 1 and 2.
A copy of our safety evaluation is enclosed.
