RESPONSE TO NRC GENERIC LETTER (GL) 92-08, "THERMO-LAG 330-1 FIRE
- BARRIERS, 11 SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 AND HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION (TAC NOS. M85598, M85599, AND M85559)
Your letter dated April 16, 1993, provided a response to NRC GL 92-08 for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, and Hope Creek Generating Station.
Your response stated that Salem and Hope Creek do not use Thermo-Lag 330-1 for any application.
Your statement provides an adequate basis for the NRC to consider your response to this matter (i.e., compliance with NRC fire barrier requirements if Thermo-Lag 330-1 is utilized) complete.
You are reminded that the GL informed you that you are expected to review the information in the GL to determine if it applies to other barrier materials and systems used at your facilities and to consider actions, as appropriate, to avoid similar problems.
Further NRC review on this matter, if any, will be performed by inspection or audit.
