Dear Sirs:

SALEM GENERATING STATION HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION AMENDMENTS TO DISCHARGE CONFIRMATION REPORTS In accordance with several letters received from your office over the past week and discussions with Mr. Frank Cosolito of your staff on February 26, 1992, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) is supplying additional information for Discharge Confirmation Reports filed by the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations.

The letters referenced indicate deficiencies in the reports submitted by PSE&G for failure to provide the following information:

1)

The name of the individual that reported the discharge and not the reporter's title;

2)

Summary of tpe cost incurred to cleanup and dispose of discharged mat_erial; and,

3)

Proof of proper disposal of discharged material.

In order to correct these deficiencies and satisfy the requirements of NJAC 7:1E-5.8(b), PSE&G is providing the requested information in the attached Discharge Confirmation Report supplements.

In addition to the Discharge Reports referenced in NJDEPE's letters, PSE&G is providing the information for all Reports filed since promulgation of the revised Discharge Prevention, Control and Countermeasure The Energy Peopie
