This letter transmits the findings of an inspection to assure public health and safety,
conducted by the .resident inspector staff including Mr. T. Johnson and others from
Deeember 29, 1991 tO February 8, i992 at the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating
Stations. The findings were discussed .. with Mr. C. Vondra and Mr. S. Funsten of your staff.*
Within the scope of this inspection, the inspectors did not find any vi,olations. No reply to
this.letter is required.-
As discussed. in the enclosed report,* a number of engineering design and installation issues.
were identified* by your staff during this inspection p~riod and remain unresolved. While the
. identification of these items is indicative of a good questioning_ attitude and attention to detail,
