NRC Combined Inspection Nos. 50-272/91-18 and 50-311/91-18
A routine, unannounced radiological controls inspection was conducted at the
Salem Nuclear Generating Station by Mr. R. L. Nimitz during the period June
10-13, 1991.
The findings of the inspection were discussed with Mr. C. A.
Vondra at the conclusion of the inspection .
Areas reviewed during the inspection are discussed in the enclosed inspection
report.
No violations were identified and no reply to this letter is
required. The inspection identified good efforts to resolve self-identified
radiological concerns.
Two unresolved items associated with radiation monitor
surveillance and control room ventilation system operation were identified.
These items are discussed in the enclosed report.
