This refers to the announced, routine, safety inspection of emergency preparedness activities
authorized by License Nos. DPR-70, DPR-75, and NPF-57 16 conducted by Mr. C. Amato
of this office on October 29 to November 2, 1990 at your Artificial Island site, Lower
Alloways Creek Township, New Jersey. Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Amato
with you and your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region .I inspection
report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
examination of procedures and records, interviews with personnel by the inspectors, and
observation of your annual emergency preparedness exercise.
Based on the results of this inspection, no violations, or exercise weaknesses were identified.
No reply to this letter is required; Your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
