NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF VOLUME 5 OF THE FINAL PLANT-SPECIFIC SUPPLEMENT 38, TO THE GENERIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR LICENSE RENEWAL OF NUCLEAR PLANTS REGARDING INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS 2 AND 3 (CAC NOS. MD5411 AND MD5412)
Dear Ms. Musumeci:
Enclosed are two bound copies and two CDs of Volume 5 of the final plant-specific Supplement 38 to NUREG-1437, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (GElS), regarding the renewal of operating licenses DPR-26 and DPR-64 for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3.
The final Supplement 38 to the GEIS was submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) via e-NEPA and copies were mailed or e-mailed to interested Federal and State agencies, industry organizations, interested groups, and members of the public. A copy of this document has also been placed in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Public Document Room, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland 20852, and in the NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible on the NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/readingrm/adams.html. The ADAMS accession number for Volume 5 of the final Supplement 38 to the GEIS is ML18107A759.
NRCs responses to EPAs recommendations that were provided during the public comment period on the draft Supplement 38 to the GEIS can be found in Appendix B of this supplement.
