SALEM GENERATING STATION MONTHLY OPERATING

SUMMARY

UNIT NO.,2 DECEMBER 1987 The Unit remained shutdown as modifications in support of the breaker coordination and electrical configuration issues were completed.

Following completion of the modifications, a Safety Evaluation Report was submitted to the NRC.

On December 11, 1987, start-up authorization for Salem Unit 2 was received from the NRC.

Start-up was commenced and Reactor criticality was achieved at 0451 hours0.00522 days <br />0.125 hours <br />7.457011e-4 weeks <br />1.716055e-4 months <br />, on December 17, 1987.

The Unit reached full power on December 18, 1987, and continued to operate at that level for the remainder of the period.
