Combined Inspection 50-272/87-07 and 50-311/87-08
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection by Mr. T. Kenny and
Mrs. K. Gibson, of this office, on February 24, 1987 to March 23, 1987, at
the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey.
The
inspection consisted of document reviews, interviews, and observation of
activities.
The findings were discussed with Mr. J. M. Zupko, Jr. of your
staff.
Within the scope of this inspection, one licensee identified violation
occurred inyolving the failure to keep high radiation area doors locked in
accordance With Technical Specification 6.12;2.
This event is discussed in
Section 2 of the attached report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2, Appendix C,
a notice of violation was not issued.
