This refers to the special inspection conducted by Mr. S. V. Pullani of this
office on September 12-19, 1986 at Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancocks
Bridge, New Jersey, of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-75 and to
the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Pullani with Mr. J. Zupko, Jr. at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Reg~on .I In-
spection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
