Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-272/86-20 and 50-311/86-20
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Messrs. William Oliveira
and John G. Hunter III of this office on June 30 - July 8, 1986, at the Salem*
Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey of ac-
tivities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-70 and DPR-75 and to the discus-
sions of our findings held by Mr. Oliveira with Mr. Miller at the conclusion of
the inspection .
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the in-
spection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
