REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT AND WITHDRAWAL OF PREVIOUS AMENDMENT REQUEST FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-70 UNIT NO. 1 SALEM GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-272 In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended and the regulations thereunder, we hereby transmit copies of our request for amendment and our analyses of the changes to Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 1.

This amendment request consists of a revision to Technical Specifications, Appendix A, Section 3.4.9.1, updating RCS pressure/temperature limits. The changes are the results of reactor vessel material irradiation specimen examination.

Additionally, we are, hereby, withdrawing our request for amendment, LCR 84-14, dated October 15, 1984. This previously submitted amendment request, based on Reactor Vessel Surveillance Capsule "T" is superceded by the attached request, LCR 85-06, based on Capsule "Y", which is more burrent.
