- Attached is a copy of the Post Exercise Assessment prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the October 26, 1983 joint exercise of State and local radiological emergency preparedness plans for the Salem Nuclear Generating Station.
A copy of this report has been sent by FEMA to the State of Delaware requesting a schedule for corrective actions of offsite emergency preparedness deficiencies found during the exercise.
A serious deficiency involving protective action decision making at the Delaware EOC for areas beyond the ten-mile EPZ was identified and is considered correctable with training. In connection with resolution of the deficiencies, you should keep abreast of the activities taken by both State and local authorities and provide assistance to them on an as needed basis.
