Enclosed is a copy of the MAC *management a.sses.sment.and action plan for improve-ments in Salem Units 1 and 2 operations. Also enclosed is the Salem Augmented Inspection Program developed by Region I, that includes their plan to resolve and followup the management issµes identified during the review of the'Salem trip breaker events.
We request your review and comments on the enclosures by August 5, 1983, which in t~rn will be forwarded to the Region.
The licensee is preparing responses to the MAC repo,rt recommendations, to be submitted to the NRC late in _August.
We will request your review and comments on this submittal as well.
