Updated Salem Restart Status Report - March 29, 1983 Enclosed is a copy of the subject report which was prepared by the NRC staff in response to the events of February 22 and 25, 1983. The events.involved failure of the Unit 1 reactor trip circuit breakers to trip upon receipt of an automatic trip signal from the reactor protection systemo. The updated report contains staff evaluations and the status of resolution on the various issues associated with these events. This report was fort'larded to'*:the Commission for infonnation on this date.
This will also confinn our meeting to be held on March 30, 1983 in the NRC Region I* office to review the extent of your prog1.,ess on the outstanding actions.
