REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 AND DPR-75 NOS. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the regulations thereunder, PSE&G hereby transmits its request for Amendment LCR 82-03 to Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1, and Amendment 81-07 (revised) to Facility Operating Licenses DPR-70 and DPR-75 for Unit Nos. 1 and 2 respectively.

Amendment request, LCR 82-03, consists of a change-to the Safety Technical Specifications, Appendix A, pertaining to the fire protection system on Unit No. 1.

Amendment request, LCR 81-07 (revised), is a modification o.f a previously submitted request for a change to the Environmental Technical Specifications and revisions to Tables in the Safety Technical Specifications, Appendix A, dealing with radiation monitoring of plant effluents.

Amendment request, LCR 81-07, is a revision to a previous request for which a fee was submitted.

Amendment request, LCR 82-03, is a change which is deemed not to involve a significant safety hazards consideration and, therefore, is a Class III amendment.

A check for $4,000 is enclosed.

This submittal includes three (3) signed originals and forty (40) copies.
