This letter confinns those actions taken or to* be taken at the Salem Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, as discussed in a telephone conve.rsation between Mr. H. J. Midura of your staff and Mr. R. R. Kerilmig of this office on April 28, 1982.
As discussed and in consideration of the on-going labor contract negotiations involving non-management workers at the station and the event on April 28, 1982, PSE&G shall *assure the following actions are immediately effected.
- 1. Senior operation maaagement personnel shall be assigned on site to provide 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> coverage;
- 2.
PSE&G security management personnel shall be assigned on site to provide 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> coverage of plant security activities;
- 3. Verification of readiness for operation of safety-related systems and equipment shall be perfonned on a continuing basis;
- 4.
Hands-on search shall be instituted for all incoming personnel to the plant, including inspection of all packages.
These precautionary measures, as well as those which you had initiated previously on your own, including additional on-site security personnel, patrols, and area surveillance, are to remain in effect until concurrence with this office is obtained to withdraw them.
