NUREG-0737 ITEM II.K.3.30 NO. 2 UNIT SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-311 As requested in your February 5, 1982 letter on Revised Small Break LOCA Methods (NUREG-0737, Item II.K.3.30), we have reviewed our response plan for the subject NUREG item.
As stated in our December 21, 1981 letter, we feel that the small break LOCA analysis model currently approved by NRC for use on Salem 2 is conservative and in conformance with Appendix K to 10CFR50.
We are currently working with the Westinghouse Owner's Group in achieving resolution of Item II.K.3.30 concerns.
This effort is currently scheduled for completion by April 1, 1982.
Any necessary model revisions and justifications will be submitted by July 1, 1982.
