REVISED REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-70 UNIT NO. 1 SALEM GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-272 In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended and the regulations thereunder, we hereby transmit copies of our revised request for amendment of the Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 1.
This request consists of proposed changes to the Safety Technical Specifications (Appendix A) involving sections pertaining to TMI-2 Lessons Learned Category "A" items. The changes reflect our response to your Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut's letter to all Pressurized Water Reactor Licensees, dated July 2, 1980. Revisions to our original submittal have been developed as a result of discussions between NRC Project Managers for Salem Units 1 and 2, staff reviewers, and our own personnel.
In our February 17, 19Bl request for amendment, the changes had been determined to be in the public interest and exempt from fee as defin-ed by 10CFR 170.11. Since the staff position has changed on this determination, and the request involves several Class III amendments, it is determined to be a Class IV Request.
Accordingly, a check for
$12,300 is enclosed.
This submittal includes three (3) signed originals and forty copies.
