We :feel we have a right to have access and have used this information :for what we feel is a service *to

The NRC is ta.'lring the files out of the Document Rooms and

This mea."1s the only way to look something up is to rely solely on the accession list~ The accession list, generally is so brief you* ca11 not possibly identify (from subjects)

  • exact issues.

Under the present system, you can review every piece of correspondence to determine related correspondence side by side.

We have in the past. discussed with NRC nersonnel some of the problems with the current filing practices and computer prograns and find it interesting we had no knowledge of.

nlaTl!led cha.-riges.

We also*auestion the cost of Microfiche whe~ there are no benefits.to the public.

We feel an injunction should be issued until an on-site inspection can be made with the writers in attendance to show why we feel money is being wasted on a system that would keep the public from having. access to what we have a right to.

If steps have already been t~ken by your office with regard to this problem*, we would appreciate knowing what can be done to stop the ~hange.

Very truly yours, Alfred C. Colema.TJ., Jr.
