Recent Licensee Management Reorganization
SUMMARY
OF MEETING WITH PSE&G ON DECEMBER 10, 1980 On December 10, 1980, representatives of Public Service Electric and Gas Company met with NRC Region I personnel at King of Prussia, Pennsylvania to introduce new PSE&G management personnel and to discuss a recent PSE&G management reorgani-zation. The attendance list is attached as Appendix A to this Summary.
The meeting was held at PSE&G 1s request.
The meeting commenced with introductions of attendees by R. T. Carlson, Chief, RC&ES Branch, NRC Region I, and R. M. Eckert, Senior Vice President - Energy Supply and Engineering, PSE&G.
Mr. R. Eckert distributed copies*of PSE&G management organization charts which reflected the recent personnel and organi-zational changes. Further discussion by PSE&G involved a review.of the organi-zation followed by a brief description of the function of each individual and a description of the changes and reasons for the changes.
NRC personnel asked several questions to clarify the impact of the changes.
In particular, it was noted that the PSE&G Quality Assurance department is now managed by a general manager who reports to a senior vice president, whereas, previously the QA department was headed by a manager who*reported to a vice.
