NRC !E Bulletin 80~11, Masonry Wall De.sign This refers to your letter dated November 4~ 1980, amending your inittal response to IE Bulletin 80-11 and requesting an extension until December 3, 1980 to complete the detailed analysis of masonry walls in Salem Units 1 and 2.
In view of the present shut down condition of both units, we find the delay in completing your analysis acceptable.
We understand, based.on a discussion between our Senior Resident Inspector and Mr. *H, :J. Midura on November 7, 1980, that you will not take either unit to Mode 4 or higher until the analysis and any required repairs or modifications are *canplete.
If our understanding of your proposed actions is incorrect, please notify this office in111ediately.
