This Department is responsible for the assignment of personnel to ~~e above functions, for assurance ta"la t appropr ia.te written procedures, as described in Section 5.5.l, are utilized i~ t=e surveillance program activities and for.. assuring t.":e quality of surveillance program results, as cescribed in Section 5.5.3.
The Station Manager or his delegated alternate is re-sponsible for operating the plant in cocpliance with t~e limiting conditions for operation as S?ecified in t.~e
?nvironmental Technical S?ecifications and for t."le in-pla~t monitoring necessary to ensure such operation.
His re-sponsibility "includes assurance that plant activities are conducted in such a manner as to provide continui~g ?ro-tection to the environment and that personnel perfor~i~g such activities use appropriate written procedures as described in Section S.S.
