LCR 80-15 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC AND GAS COMPANY FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 AND DPR-75 UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 SALEM GENERATING STATION Public Service Electric and Gas Company hereby submits proposed changes to Facility Operating Licenses DPR-70 and DPR-75 for Salem Generating Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. This change request relates to the section of the Technical Specifications pertaining to Administrative Controls.

Changes in the organization that operates and supports the operation of the Salem units.

Reason for Changes To enable the Company to more effectively manage the oper-ation and support of the Salem plant.

Safety Evaluation The intent of the reorganization is to more clearly define and group functional responsibilities. This should result in increasing the corporate organization's efficiency and effectivity in exercising management control and providing station support. These changes do not constitute an unre-viewed safety question.
