You propose to use these individuals as replacements for the PSF&G personnel no1*1 serving as Shift Technical Advisors at the Salem Generat-inp"Station, so that these PSH1G personnel can enter a training program to obtain operator licenses.

We have reviewed the resumes that you fori*mrded and the information contained in your 1etter regarding the special training they have recei.ved.

We conclude that these individuals are *acceptably qualified to serve as STAs duri.ng the interim period unti 1 your* fully trained PSE&G STAs. become. avail ahl e, which you estimate

These contract individuals do not have the six months experience on site required by our criteria. However, in view of their qualifications~ the short period of time durin0.which they might actually he servi.ng.as STAs, and the need to train additional operators, we are willing to waive the. requirement for six months experience at the site.

Accordingly, your request for waiver of the experience requirement is approved.

  • These contract individuals may be used on an interim hasis to satisfy the STA reqt1irement for the Salem.Station.

However, in view of their qualifications, the short period of time during which they might actually be serving as STAs, and the need to train additional operators, we are willing to waive the requirement for six months experience at the site.

Accorqingly, your request for.waiver of the experience requirement is approved.
