phone conversation on August 4, 1980 between you and Mr. E. J. Brunner of this office, relative to the training and qualification for the position of Shift Technical Advisor (STA).
It is our understanding that the position of STA will not be filled with personnel whose training, qualifications and experience do not meet or exceed those of the original group of STA's who were evaluated by NRC prior to the issuance of your SNGS Unit No. 2 license for fuel loading and low power testing and as documented in Supplement 4 to the Salem Safety Evaluation Report.
We further understand that you will advise this office prior to implementing the use of any other personnel for this posi,tion.
If our understanding of your proposed actions is incorrect, please notify this office innnediately...
