Docket NC~o~~i Proposed IsSU-ance of Amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-70 NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME Pursuant to 10 C.F.R § 2.711, the Staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Staff) hereby moves the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Board) in the above-captioned proceeding for an extension of the time for the filing of transcript corrections until May 28, 1980.

DISCUSSION At the hearings which took place in the above-captioned proceeding from April 28 through April 30, 1980, the Board required the parties to file transcript corrections within 14 days of the end of the hearing. The Staff counsel has transmitted copies of the transcripts for the first two days of those hearings to the appropriate Staff witnesses.

However, Staff has not yet received the third day*s transcript.

In addition it was necessary for one of these witnesses (Dr. Benjamin) to be away from his office for the week of May 5-9, thus making

  • it impossible for him to review the transcripts before May 12, 1980.

For these reasons the Staff requests an.extension of time until May 28, 1980, to serve its transcript corrections on the DOCl\\ETEiJi USN RC Office of the Secret2.ry Docketing & Ser'/ice Branch

I.

! CONCLUSION For the reasons set forth above, the Staff's motion for extension of time should be granted.

Dated at Bet.hesda, Maryl and this 7th day of May, 1980.

Respectfully submitted, Janice E. Moore Counsel for NRC Staff
