10CFR50.55(e) "SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCY" DROPPED ROD EVENT ANALYSES NO. 2 UNIT SALEM GENERATING STATION PSE&G has been notified by Westinghouse. (letter of November 15,.
1979) *that they have identified the potential for certain
- single dropped rod events leading to calculated DNB ratios lower*than reported to the NRC for certain classes of Westinghouse Plants.
Therefore, the SAR analysis m~y not represent the most limiting assumption for credible single
- failure.
It is our understanding that this condition was reported to your office by Westinghouse on November 15, 1979 under 10CFR50.59 for Salem No. 1 Unit and 10CFR50.55(e) for Salem
