Dear Mr. Regan:

TRANSMITTAL OF ADDITIONAL SHORTNOSE STURGEON DATA SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION - UNIT 2 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION - UNITS 1 AND 2 Enclosed is additional information about shortnose sturgeon found on the Delaware River from 1958 thru 1979 compiled by our consultant, Ichthyological Associates (IA). Included with this list is an accounting of all bottom otter trawl samples collected from 1968 to 1979 by IA as part of the Artificial Island Ecological Study. The study was funded by the owners of Salem and Hope Creek.

This compilation of information was also transmitted to the National Marine Fisheries Service, where it is anticipated that it will be used as part of their impact assessment of Salem 2 operation and Hope Creek 1 and 2 construction and subsequent operation on the shortnose sturgeon of Delaware Bay.
