REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE. S.l\\LEM UNIT 2 FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT ( FS.l\\R)
As a result of our continuing review of the Salem FSAR, we find that we need additional -information to complete our evaluation.
The specific information required is l'isted in the Enclosure.
Our review schedule is based on the assumption that this additional i.nformation will be available for our review by August 10, 1979.

- ENCLOSURE REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-311 During a recent refueling outage at a W plant (Salem Unit 1), strap damage was observed on a number of fueT spacer grids. It is not known whether the damage occurred during the initial core loading or during the refueling withdrawal.
What assurances can you provide that the same type of grid damage will not be experienced at Sal em Un it 2?
