SUMMARY
OF FEBRUARY 22, 2018, PUBLIC TELECONFERENCE TO DISCUSS PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE FIRE PROTECTION SIGNIFICANCE DETERMINATION PROCESS On February 22, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public teleconference with representatives from the nuclear industry to discuss proposed revisions of documents associated with Inspection manual Chapter 0609, Appendix F, Fire Protection Significance Determination Process. The proposed document revisions and related information that informed the discussion are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession No. (ML18067A300). The enclosure provides a list of individuals who attended the teleconference. A number of comments on the proposed revisions were discussed at the meeting, with the NRC agreeing to several recommended edits.
This meeting was noticed to the public on February 12, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18052B065).
A number of comments on the proposed revisions were provided in advance of the meeting (ML18012A673) and NRC responded to those comments (ML18029A501). Discussion during the meeting focused on NRCs response to the comments received. No additional comments were offered during the meeting.
