We have received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Region V correspondence transmitting the FEMA final exercise report for the December 1, 1998 Plume Exposure Pathway Exercise at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.
No defiCiencies were identified during the exercise. However, seven Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA), were identified. Ten prior ARCAs were resolved and four prior ACRAs remain unresolved.
We fully recognize that any corrective actions to be implemented may involve parties and political institutions which are not under your direct control. Nonetheless, we expect that assistance, if appropriate, will be extended.
In accordance with 1 O CFR 2. 790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the
- enclosed FEMA correspondence will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
