PALISADES PLANT-COMPLETION OF STAFF REVIEW OF CONSUMERS ENERGY COMPANY'S REACTOR VESSEL FLUENCE CALCULATION (TAC NO. M95134)
Dear Mr. Haskell:
By letter dated December** 15, 1998, you submitted Consumers Energy's response to the staff's request for additional information (RAI) dated July 31, 1998, regarding your proposed fluence calculation methodology. Based on discussions in meetings on October 19 and December 7, 1998, Consumers Energy and NRC staff agreed that the current fluence calculation methodology advocated by Consumers Energy was not likely to be approved by the NRC at this time. It is our understanding based on the discussions at the December 7, 1998, meeting that you do riot expect further staff review of the currently proposed methodology.
This completes staff action on TAC No. M95134. If you have any questions concerning this action please call me at (301) 415-1312.
