This relief request was previously approved in the Safety Evaluation dated-August 30, 1996, following the March 5, 1996, submittal of the third 120-month interval lnservice Testing Program. The original relief request was contained within Attachment 3 of to the March 5, 1996, submittal.
A revision to this relief request was determined to be necessary when it was discovered that the function of the valve was incorrectly described. This revision to the relief request was determined to be inconsequential to the basis of relief. Relief was previously granted on the basis that compliance with the code requirements for valve position indication verification, stroke time testing, and stroke time acceptance criteria was impractical. The function of the valve, while incorrectly described, had no impact on the ability to test the valve in accordance with the code requirements, so compliance remains impractical.
This revision of valve relief request number 20 is being submitted as a clarification to the original-siil5rriittal.
